Oral teriparatide phase 3 study design announced for osteoporosis

Entera Bio announced that it would present the design of a planned phase 3 trial of oral teriparatide (PTH(1-34), development code EB613) at the American Society for Bone and Mineral Research annual meeting. The proposed randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial would study postmenopausal women with osteoporosis. The announcement describes a study plan, not phase 3 efficacy results; the oral formulation remains investigational.
