FDA warns of counterfeit Ozempic 1 mg pens found in the US drug supply chain

The FDA warned patients, pharmacies and wholesalers not to use counterfeit Ozempic (semaglutide) 1 mg injection after Novo Nordisk reported several hundred fake units in the US supply chain, and the agency seized the identified products. The counterfeits carry the genuine lot number PAR0362 with serial numbers beginning 51746517, so both must be checked. It followed a December 2023 alert about thousands of fake Ozempic pens with counterfeit needles, and a further alert followed in December 2025.
