REMODEL: primary kidney MRI outcomes show no significant difference versus placebo

Þessi færsla er sýnd á ensku þar til þýðing hennar hefur verið uppfærð.

The REMODEL study, published in Nature Medicine, compared semaglutide with placebo over 52 weeks in 106 adults with type 2 diabetes and chronic kidney disease. It found no statistically significant differences in the primary MRI measures of kidney oxygenation, blood flow and tissue inflammation. Secondary analyses, including smaller kidney biopsy subgroups, suggested effects on resistance to blood flow, markers of scarring and blood-vessel cells. These secondary findings offer possible explanations for kidney protection but do not establish a new clinical benefit.
