Medicare GLP-1 Bridge starts, covering obesity drugs for a $50 monthly copay

A temporary Medicare GLP-1 Bridge began letting eligible beneficiaries get Wegovy (injection and pill), Zepbound KwikPens and the non-peptide pill Foundayo for obesity at a $50 monthly copay, with prior authorization based on BMI and clinical criteria. Manufacturers supply the drugs at a net price of $245 a month, mirroring the November 2025 pricing agreements between the Trump administration, Eli Lilly and Novo Nordisk. The Bridge now runs to December 31, 2027 after CMS dropped plans to launch its BALANCE model in Medicare in 2027.
