FDA advisers vote to allow compounding of BPC-157, KPV, TB-500 and MOTS-c

The FDA's Pharmacy Compounding Advisory Committee voted 8 to 6, with one abstention, to recommend adding BPC-157, KPV and TB-500 to the 503A bulk substances list, and 7 to 5 with two abstentions for MOTS-c, overruling FDA staff who recommended against all four. Agency scientists cited insufficient safety and efficacy data and the lack of a universally accepted chemical specification for these products. The votes are advisory; the FDA makes the final decision through notice-and-comment rulemaking.
